GLOCK 78 Field knife

OK,
first of all, hardness is 57-57 HRC. I can easily put a razor egde on mine, and it holds up quite well. It will take any kind of abuse.

...hardness is 57 HRC.
It almost seems like there is some variety to the hardness of glock knives. I saw one vendor who claimed they were around 50-55, I've seen others that agree with you, and I've seen personal statements saying everything.

If you got a good one then congrats on your good luck and good buy.

The hardness was kept low to aid in field sharpening. It is a compromise field tool, and is also the pattern of the issue bayonet. For the money, you probably can't beat it - though people have the same kind of relationship with this knife that they do with the Camillus AF Survival Knife. Love it or leave it.

I have quite a few knives--ESEEs, Ka-Bars, Bokers, Ontarios, and others. I also own a few Glock 78s and have given several as gifts. I keep them in my vehicles, because they can cut stuff, pry stuff, stab stuff, and open bottles and, oh yeah, at $20, I can beat on it or even lose it and not really care. They fill a niche...
