Since everyone and his brother is posting off topic stuff lately, I thought I'd take a stab at it too. I need a concealed carry holster for a Glock 30. Anyone have any suggestions?

I would love to jump in and help you on this one but.... I live in IL one of the two great states that have no CCW what-so-ever (Wisconsin being the other). :thumbdn:

I have IWB leather Galco's on my Glock 27 and all other smaller guns. There thin comfortable and pretty cheap

Old LAW (not sure if there still around) leather holster for larger guns. Put it inside the back and it will hide any size auto or 4in revolver.

I'll add pic of both in morning.
EDIT-Crappy quick pic, the Galco's are comfy and cheap

this one is for a 1911 but the design works just as well for your Glock..... IWB -inner waist band- is the way to go....but you also have the shoulder holster carry option as well..............

All I can say is CTAC from Comp Tac.... I can carry anything from my g26 to my g34 and never know it's there.... I've spent thousands over the years and with very few exceptions I get a CTAC for anything I carry.

I have some leather versions of the CTAC, but prefer the kydex for ease of reholstering

BladeTech makes a great line of Kydex holsters. I have a IWB rig for my Walther .40 P99 and it is comfortable all day.

I wonder if it would be comfortable to use an IWB with my G21? For those lazy days around the house. As CCWs are near impossible for most of us here in CA to get as well.

+1 I have carried the 30 in a BladeTech without problem. I EDC a 26 in another BladeTech. Even after 10 or 12 hours, no problem.

I would go beyond comp-tac and say get a Minotaur M-Tac. Same kydex as Comp-Tac, but with a leather sweatshield for comfort. Been using mine with a G-19 for about 7 months now, and like it. You can also interchange kydex bodies, so if you want to use the same holster setup with other guns you have, you can.

Aside from that, I have used Crossbreed holsters as well, and like them very much. My father has the custom HBE I bought for my EMP, and my brother GentleBen swears by Milt Sparks VMII's. You could also check Nate at UBG holsters. His prices WERE pretty reasonable when I bought my custom from him. Good luck.

Ty,

For around the housem the 21 may be fine. Of course it depends on your size/body type. Remember the grip is what makes concealment difficult, and the 21 has a VERY thick grip. Even the SF version of that gun won't help concealment because it's only shorter from front to back.

I highly recommend Sidearmor holsters. CNC formed/machined kydex. I've been using their products for 8+ years and wouldn't use anything else for kydex IWB. Their J-hooks allow fast and easy removal without snaps or belt removal yet still very secure. Their G30 IWB:

I'm an OWB kinda guy. I guess I've got a problem with buying pants and belts 1-2" larger than I already do. (Plus they never feel right.)

My preference is either a Fobus paddle holster (REALLY!) or a Mitch Rosen Express line. (Not sure if they make express for a G30.) Both are great holsters.

Your key, IWB or OWB, is a GOOD belt. Don't get a Sears special. Get a REAL gunbelt. And if you think it's too thick, it's JUST right. No one notices my thick belt. Ever. Even with dress pants. (1.5" double-thick belt with a pair of slacks and nary a comment.)

I have a sidearmor, and while the kydex is top quality, I do not find them comfortable. I know we don't carry guns to be physically comfortable, but I also don't want to be very uncomfortable if I can find something a little easier to wear. Thus, I prefer a leather/kydex hybrid like Minotaur, Crossebreed, or the Tucker Answer (very pricey).

For a polymer holster, no one is better than Blade Tech.

End of story.

I have a bladetech and a blackhawk as well, and feel the same about them as I do the sidearmor. Ymmv.

+1 on what Dennis said. Get a great belt.

I have one of these :)

I've carried a Milt Sparks Summer Special with 1911's for years (Andy's version above looks great). I've tried a couple of IWB rigs with my Glocks at times, but the squarish slide makes it feel like I need another hole in my belt. Maybe if I got the right holster it would solve the problem (or maybe if I took the time to get used to it), but I mostly wear my Glocks outside the pants.

I generally prefer leather holsters over Kydex, just more comfortable for me (for knives it's the other way around, go figure).

Of all the holsters I've tried, the Milt Sparks VMII is the most comfortable for me. They are beautifully made and darn near indestructible.

David E bends some mean kydex. If I ever decide to CC my Glock, he's the man I'll call.

*edit* Oops, I see he already chimed in. His work really is impressive- the sheath he made for my Scrofa is by far the nicest kydex I've ever seen.
