Seems like I have a gotten alot of interest in glow scales recently. So, I made a few up to sell here. Here is a good sampling of the types of things I can supply you. If you want something different, I'll be happy to make it up for you. I have a turn around time of about a week just now. I can press most materials as long as they do not have a anti rot or waterproofing. I can twist, stack, wad the materials for all sorts of interesting and unique patterns.

A Bit about Glow Scales
Some materials work better than others.
Yarn and burlap work well-materials with open, coarse fibers seem to trap the fine powders, as well as allow the powder to migrate fairly evenly through the part.
The excess epoxy squeezed out is fairly free of the glow powder, indicating the fibers are trapping most of the powder.
With cloth, like fiberglass, the epoxy can flow, but the powder is "filtered" and tends to stay where poured, and not spread, so careful planning and spreading is needed to make it work out with tightly woven cloth.
The glow powder is available in various colors and brightnesses.
Also note that it needs to be "charged" with light before they glow.

I am using a high quality, clear, UV stabilized, non-blushing (and expen$ive) epoxy resin to hold it all together.

All of the following are available for immediate shipment

Here is a pic of the green scales glowing. As I cannot find my tripod, it is rather difficult capturing a pic of the glow:

Cool stuff as usual Todd! I should have some Orphan neck knives up for sale soon three that glow and two that dont. out of everything that I have tried I like the burlap the best so far but the fiberglass stuff works nice and people seem to like the glow.

I wil be calling you soon with a few questions.

Thanks Will. The burlap makes great scales, I just need to get more people to try them. I plan on being around this weekend, I look forward to your call.

Don't have any with just straight Burlap that glow do you??

I do have some in dark green burlap, but I am waiting on payment. I would be happy to make up some more. I have some daytime yellow and daytime orange powder on hand and can work some scales up fairly quickly. Let me know what I can do for you.
Thanks,
Todd

What about if I sent you some natural colored hemp burlap?

How much would you need to do a set of scales? Would it work?

Any way you can post night pictures of the yellow and pink glowing?

I'm trying to decide on which one I like best.

Thanks! I'm thinking that if I can make my wife a puukko with pink glow in the dark scales (I want the yellow), she'd actually carry it on camping trips!

Here you go, this is as good I can do...Its hard to capture the glow. The yellow has a kind of grid pattern to it, while the yarn is more random and squiggly.

Hope that helps
