Great pics Rob !!!!!! I would have just assumed they were a bunch of glowing eyes looking at me from the bush and put a few shots out there to scare those little daemon feckers off !!!

I was hoping for aliens. But alas, no. I bet if I licked one, I'd certainly see aliens.

How big are they? We had some here a few years ago, but they were small, less than an inch across. They didn't glow as bright as those.

The largest one would have been no more than about 15mm across. They're quite cool to see. These pics were done with a 30 second exposure to capture the cool greenish colour they have.

That is not an easy picture to take. Great job!!!! I have 30years of experience collection mushrooms. Without a spore print it's a toss up at times. Difficult.

I feel a re-release coming on. A Nuclear Meltdown Fusion Battle Mushroom? The only difference between it and the normal NMFBM is that it has to have green moonglow g10.

Friday afternoon I was out pulling the tarp off the trailer and this cheeky bastage ran along my arm...did the "Pidy Dance" for a couple of seconds before regaining my composure and pulling out the phone for a couple of pics..

Red backs are bastards. Couple weeks ago I walked into the garage and one was just dangling at eye height, I nearly waked right into him! I tried to free him but he had other plans and tried to leg it. I cornered the little sh!t and he reared his legs up for a fight... I lol'd and put him to sleep. Forever.

Don't try to be friendly with Red Backs. They don't want to be friendly. I don't know how you got that one to cooperate for pictures Andy, you must be a spider whisperer!

They are like flies here around the house, it's the Funnel Webs in the garage that make me stop and take pause, but I only ever really see them when I get the bug spray guy in...and when I was the dirt bike, last year it was two Red Backs, A Funnel Web and a frog when I got the bike out from under the cover to go west.

Nice pics, thank you for posting. I had read about these in the past but have never seen this. Once in the woods we had found something that had a very light glow. It too was in a log, but the glow was almost non existent. It was some sort of fungus as well, nothing like the glow you got there. Ours you could barely see it. It was one of my kids that saw it. I never would have noticed it unless it was hissing or growling at me lol.

Those shrooms look awesome! Never seen anything like them. Only ever run into glowing rotten stumps rarely.
