Glow Stick Replacements

Looks a heck of a lot better than the crappy eveready glow sticks I've had to get since walmart doesn't carry the garrity glo lites anymore.
They talked this up big time at the zombie site too.
People having chem sticks not working due to age/bent/etc.
Some folks said they use chem lights to mark tent lines. Can you carry that many chem lights for a week vs batt glow sticks?
I still have/carry chem lights in toothbrush holder just to keep them safe.
For that "drop a light to see how deep the hole is" moment and you can't get light back.

I've used the Krill (by Kriana) and like it a lot. It's electro-luminescent, not LED, but the effect is similar. They're good for general area lighting, use 2 AA batteries, and have excellent battery life. I like the version that has 180 degree coverage, so you don't have to have the light in your eyes while reading.

I have given both my children these lights. They have held up to a 7 and 9 yr old use. They take 2 watch cell batteries. My daughter left hers on for 1+ days and it is noticeably dimmer. No battery replacement after 2+ months and both in working condition. Son uses his to read after lights out.

Conclusion- These are worth 6$

OTOH- the little keychain streamlight that sells for 10$ has been lost and found in the backyard and still worked after 4+ months hiding in the dirt. But, no whistle, no glow, no strobe.

White flashlight on end and mutil-color glow stick = win/win to me.
Gonna use my dividends on some.
