Glue, nails or what?

You cannot go wrong with corbys and epoxy. It is worth it to get either the countersinking drill bit or piloted counterbore specifically for the size you are using. IMO corbys look cleaner than Loveless bolts cause the thread gap always shows between the shaft and nut.
 
The best bits for corby bolts I have found are the Fluted reamers from Pop's. They work flawless.
