Gluttony: My Favorite Sin

you're not alone my friend...:o we feel your frustrations and need for more and more steel...

those are all great looking knives... (even though i don't care much for scandi's) i like all of those blades and what not mind owning them too...:D

Mtnfolk mike, funny you say you dont like scandi grinds, I was going to ask spooky about them. I have never tried them before. I hear they are the best with wood, but not that good on anything else. Spooky, you got anything to say about that? Maybe you could do a write up on them with wood and other materials.

nice variations on a theme collection Will! :D
enjoy!!
where ya gonna get enough wood to play with?
be safe... Ted

Nice haul Spooky! They all look like great users!

And I guess I don't need to send you my Scout after all :) Handle didn't work for you, or was there more that didn't fit you?

Thank you for reminding me, I had forgotten to pm you about that! Yeah, the handle just wasn't quite perfect for me. But certainly NWA is a fantastic maker, the knife overall is quite impressive. I just don't personally care for concavities in any portion of the handle (it feels like it's squishing my grip I think).

They are certainly perfect for wood (by design) but I've found they excel at most all other tasks as well. They won't have the raw slicing efficiency of a convex edge, but they'll do almost as well on most materials and a bit better on wood. If you're leery however, I'd recommend picking up a Mora or two to try out the scandi design and decide if the grind for you. Once you fall in love ( :D ) there are lots of custom options if you feel the need to upgrade.

 I hear you. It's still a toss-up for me, I love my Bravo-1 palm-swell handle, but I also love the Scout handle. Two different beasts, I guess more experience will let me know which I ultimately prefer in most situations  Again, congrats!

Which is the best and don't be a namby pamby and bottle it saying " ooh they are all the same !", take a good long swig of something strong and lets hear the truth !!!!:D
