Oh sure I always carried knives. I owned a lot more than I needed but I had it under control. It was all the soft stuff from the store. Then a guy named Walt Welch put a Kit Carson custom dive knife in my hand. It was not my knife but I wanted to keep it. It was gorgeous. It felt good. I was made for me, me, me and, me alone. I could tell. I did send it back but it was hard.

Now I run contests and every time a custom knife comes through I want to keep it. I am hooked on Carson and waiting for my very own knife (Is this the subtle reminder I was supposed to give you, Kit?) I am getting deeper. First Carson then Simonich. Now I just got a big wallop of Mayo. Golly, I love the rush of a custom knife.

Tom
P.S. Did you know that even in this Talonite® age, some guys make knives out of obsidian and flint and steel and other old fashioned stuff. They make them real pretty, too. Don't know how they cut.

New knife contest. Watch here to win one of the only three Talonite knives designed by Eric Wong and made by Tom Mayo.

I would love to run a contest where the prize is a Talonite knife by Kit Carson but I am already 53 and my grandparents only lived into their 90's so I am not sure I will make it until I can get far enough up the waiting list. (Again this is my idea of a gentle hint.)

Tom
P.P. S.
I think you all ought to be mad at me for hyping Talonite®. Get even with me. Don't enter the contests so I have to keep the custom Mayo and Simonich (and maybe Carson) knives. Ah, ha, ha, ha, ha - that will teach me.

Hello, my name is Mike and I'm a recovering knifeaholic. I haven't bought a knife in over 4 months. I do however have 1 on order. Don't really know what is wrong with me. It's very, very complicated isn't it?

Knives, I thought this was the macramé forum all along.

I got my Talonite Design contest knife today, its beautiful, Tom Mayo did an excellent job. But if it will make all you bastids feel better I made deals for three Microtechs in the last few days. See, I'm not addicted at all. I just have to fill that drawer up, thats what it is, that drawer keeps telling me, I need more knives, I'm not full yet, I need more knives.....

Hi I'm Dew I think I am a knifeaholic too even though I don't know what the heck it means. I'm just one of the bastids who browses BFC on Friday night instead of going out.

Knife? Whats all this about a knife? I had an uncle who thought he was a knife. My aunt would have divorced him, but she needed to carve the chicken.

It is not the fall that kills you. It is the realization that "yes, you did something that stupid."

I am totally impressed. Thanks guys for at least admitting you have a problem. That's the first step

Tom Walz. Hang in there, your turn is coming up pretty fast now.

We don't want the moderators on this forum to lock it so it needs "Knife" content. You guys are doing fine.

Where the heck are the other 7300 or so members? If you've been a "lurker" and have never posted, now's the time.
