Good luck to all! Just got back from the Braves game in Atlanta so I was seriously /afk for the Ganza. I'm in. :)

There's no real luck involved. This Ganza is completely open. No limit. Only a limited time frame to place orders. Although 10 working days is quite a large time frame. Plenty of time.

Will be a long couple of weeks to wait, but they're not charging for them until they're ready to ship, so I have no problem waiting for as long as it takes.

So how do you guys think the Basic 6 LE will fare as a weekend hike/trail knife? I'm looking to use it for long hiking trips. The old SARsquatch is just a tad big for hiking in.

That's what I have in mind for it. It's supposed to weigh around 8 ounces, so roughly half a pound should be ideal for California trails. Too short for any serious chopping or bushwacking, but yeah, it's a 6" knife.

Glad to hear it will only be around 8 ounces. This will be my first Res C knife. What are the positives and negatives of Res C? It just doesn't seem nearly as bomb proof as micarta, but I have never even touched Res C.

res-c; Watch the abuse it can take

LOL, hard not to watch that without a giddy smile emerging. Noss is actually the reason I bought my first Busse. (He's also the reason I bought my first and last Cold Steel.) Well, I'm now confident in Res C. Does it scuff up or blemish easily? I would like to be able to use the butt of the knife to hammer things or baton on without damaging it if possible. Can't wait to get my Basic 6 LE!

Res-C is not indestructible. It's very strong. But you hit it with a hammer or baton, it will get some surface damage, in the form of tearing off small chunks or small cracks.
But consider a scenario where you needed to jam a knife into a door jamb to open it by force (car door, or house, etc.). You can beat on the pommel with your bare hands if you had to get the blade jammed into the door jamb as far as possible to pry.

I certainly wouldn't want to do that with a full tang Busse with those pointy skull crusher features.

This was my first Busse Ganza and it was pretty cool. I wish I had computer access for the first hour, but nonetheless, I was able to get my order in. I spoke with the famous Amy-O for probably close to thirty minutes on the phone and she was quite the pleasure to speak with. Love this community. Anyway, I'm starting to contemplate putting in another order. How much do you guys think this model will appreciate/ be sought after throughout the years? I'm definitely keeping one to use and thinking of purchasing another to resell at some point. What are some of your experiences in doing this?

I don't have a whole lot of experience, but I would imagine that since there will only be a limited number of blades made that it will go up in value over time.
