read it how you want, but @955 Jerry could not post, so the emergency procedures were in effect, he posted his 1003 deal as a courtesy, for mostly new hogs I believe. my .02 cents

The Humpoganzaaaaa will be tonight Wednesday (6-25-08) between 9:00pm and 10:00pm Eastern. If the forums are shut down due to an overload in traffic, as has happened in past Extravaganzaaaas. . . I will continue to attempt posting the "Go" button until I am able to get through on one of the Busse forums.

EMERGENCY BACK-UP Plan!!!!!. . . If the forums shut down and I am unable to post, or you can not get on to see whether or not the "GO" Button has been posted, we are implementing an emergency back-up plan that consists of an automatic "GO" at 9:55 pm Eastern!

The hour as stated for Ganza had come and gone before Jerry posted, and that was 8 minutes after the emergency plan kicked in.

They were down for me. They went up after the deadline.....

The 9:55 passed....then Jerry posted...seems clear...

It was Jerry's post or 9:55....whichever came first....



Don't matter that much to me....was only ordering spares....:D

If the forums were not down why did Jerry post after 10:00 for a Ganzaa he specifically set the time for between 9:00 and 10:00?

I dont know what forums you were looking at but its pretty obvious they were down for the rest of the world until the 9:55 emergency back up plan was implemented.

Sounds to me like somebody didn't read the rules carefully before the Ganza. Being the freaking n00b I am I must have read them 20-30 times. When he finally got on the board shortly after Jerry posted he sent in his order, probably not knowing about the emergency procedures. Now he is just trying to argue why he should not be penalized for not understanding the rules. I hope he does get what he is after, I hope we all get what we are after. Sadly, some people won't.

As my con law professor once told me, and no, I'm not a lawyer but I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night. :eek:

If you have a strong case, try the facts

If you have a marginal case, try the law

If you have no case and no hope, try the system

I had Universal time on my computer, refreshed to be sure it was correct and still let it go by 10 seconds.

My fear is that the Busse ISP clock is off and it appears our messages came in prior.

But mine went off. Let's hope we get som'in.

Yeah that was my fear too... but I can print my email for verification and it shows it down to the second. I copied myself on my email as well. I think most ISPs are likely tied into the Atomic clock for accuracy, but who knows.
 
I got a big kick out of trying to get the forum to reload. The whole time I was laughing to myself saying WOW, now this is a trough war!! :D
 
My email is post marked 9:55 on my end, I just hope everything works out on theirs. :thumbup:

I'm new to this kind of purchasing. I've sent a mailt to both Amy and Jerry trying to purchase a Busse. I hope I'll "score" one knife (Jackhammer). In that case I'll be the second guy that owns a Busse in Sweden:eek: (judging by what I saw at swedish forums).

However, I have a question regarding Ganza.
Anyone who knows how many of each "Ganza"-knife are there? I mean, are there more of each blade or only one of each kind...

If it's a Custom, there may only be one.

Since the knives up this time mostly weren't Customs, there will be 'a number.' We're just never sure what that number is. You've got a good chance ... just 'hang in there.'

You might PM or e-mail Elen. He may not be Swedish ... but he is Finnish ... and he has quite a number of Busses. :D
