Go gold, get a knife...

I did the PayPal thing and hope to get the Remora.

Question? - Any idea how long it will take to have my status switched from "Registered User" to "Gold Member"? :confused: I imagine an admin/mod or someone has to do the switch.
 
Looks like most of the statuses have been updated today. The FAQ thread shows that the paypal route means manually updating, so I image the admin who made the changes had to set aside a chunk of time to get it done!
 
Actually, you can do it yourself too once the subscription takes effect, if it doesn't display. If you go to the <Settings> link at the top right corner of the page, and then click on <Permission Groups> along the left side, you can select your paid membership. Saves the mods some work.

I sold some junk on ebay yesterday, so I went gold today. It will take a day or two to take effect, right?

I am trying to figure out how to switch mine from gold. I paid a couple days ago via the paypal link to get the remora. I go to settings but do not see the Permission Groups after that. Should I just wait longer?

Give it another day, it should be good to go soon. I talked with Spark earlier, and he's been trying to make sure everyone gets taken care of ASAP.

No worries, just keep checking in, El Sparko Diablo is a busy man with nimble fingers. He might get drunk as hell tonight and upgrade your status at 3am EST. Never know with that guy. :D
