Hey Guys. I just wanted to show y'all the latest to come out of the shop. This was an order that requested a fighter made exactly like one that my Brother made a while back. This is a collaboration between me and my brother Trevor. It is a W2 steel core laminate with 15N20 intermediate layers and 416 SS cladding. Carbon fiber handle on tan G-10 frame. 13.5" OAL, blade is 7.6" long. This was an order for a member here but the holiday season and family comes first so he is catching and releasing this package. The first two pics are from his sales thread and the rest are the only pics I was able to get before it shipped. Thanks for looking.

I want to also wish all my Bladeforums Brothers and Sisters a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

That is a impressive looking blade (and sheath). Those laminations look really good, not to bold but impressive.

WOW! I love the unfinished accents of the blade and the guard is a great design too, great design!

yes! I'm glad you were able to get more pics of this up bro! I've said it all before but your level of work is just incedible and your style is just plain awesome!! gorgeous work man :)

oh yea I wanted ta ask if you clay hardened this, I see a hamon (the smokyness near the edge) but maybe just some cool carbon migration effect..? but then again that's what the 15n20 is for right ;) also, what does "Go-Mai" mean? I've heard 'san mai' and 'ni mai' but not 'go mai' :)

You need to get in a better habbit of taking more pics of your knives bro! especially those of this caliber :grumpy: :D

Thanks Guys & Merry Christmas!!

Paul-- The Hamon you see is just a result of the cladding. I guess it acts kind of like clay. Even on the top of the spine, the core shows the activity that the edge does. Go Mai is 5 layers where as San Mai is 3 layers. Thanks buddy and Merry Christmas!!

Oh and the 15n20 was put in there just for looks. Carbon migration had no influence on the decision to use the 15n20. :)
Oh and I forgot to add the nice pics up top were taken but the member that bought the knife. He is having to sell it and listed it here. He did a really good job on them. I agree with u , I need to take more/ better pics! :)

Friggin beautiful! Excellent execution all around. Now you have wanting to try to make this style of knife

That's a stunning fighter Mason! And the sheath ain't too shabby either. :)
At some point in the new year I want to attempt a frame handle myself. If you don't mind me asking, why no pin/pins?

There are pins. There are 3 hidden carbon fiber pins. One through the tang and two to help secure the frame to the carbon fiber :)

Thanks guys! Merry Christmas!

I think this is awesome! I love the flow of it and I love frame handles.

What can you tell me about the scalloping of the guards? Did you use a wheel? Done by hand with files? I always wondered about that.

I really like the whole package. The lines, the surface contrasts, the go mai, even the carbon fiber (I'm generally a wood guy).
