Hey, I wouldn't turn my nose up at an Inara / Kaylee scene, either (hey, it's implied in the series)... But I wouldn't say the film suffers without it.
I went with my wife on Saturday night and I enjoyed it very much. My wife, however, was rather distressed by the unremitting intesity of the violence, something for which none of the reviews that I have seen prepared us. Had I known, I would have seen it on my own and gone to another film with her.
I saw this movie last night, and I think it wrapped up the series nicely. I did watch the entire series first, and I recommend that others do so before watching, but it's not absolutley necessary.
