Gobbler - Becker and Lodge Style

i hit every 'mart near me, none. some of them said they never even stocked them.

Yeah, only one 'mart in my area stocked them.

Isn't there already a thread for this???

We have a Becker turkey hunting thread? Must've slipped by me. Or are you asking that I bundle all the CM_Rick video threads together into one? That can be arranged. :D

Cast iron thread. Didn't see any hunting just a slain turkey. No proof that YOU shot it. Bundle the crap out of those threads. I don't care. I'm really starting to like poking at you, Guyon. It's too easy.

Seriously? Pov shotgun, bird, full progression of meat to table with Becker contact. Seems legit.

Careful poking the Guyon or derailing threads. He pokes back.

looks good enough to eat. that grill is sweet.

I just had a salad with grilled turkey for lunch.

I need to pick Dex's brain about using the ammo can as a cooktop. He had a similar set-up at a Gathering I attended, and that's what got me going on the Lodge kit. It took me a while to find a 30mm can that (a) wasn't rusted to pieces, and (b) was at a price point I could stomach. They've gotten harder to find and more expensive at some venues. Anyway, I can't recall if Dex used anything on top of the can (like a piece of plywood) to make the grill even more stable.

30mm or .30 cal?

physical dimenions?

I just got off the phone with Dex a little while ago. His can is bigger. Apparently, size matters. :D
Mine is a 30mm ammo can, but Dex says he has more lip left when he puts his stove on top. The search continues... I'm just going to have to run up on one at an Army/Navy surplus store.

scored a stove.

now, actual "can" dimensions would be useful. inside/outside.

plus required accessories.

need to score some Griswolds and stuff...
