I'd like to hear any suggestions.
I looked up the crime statistics in the area and they were extremely low. I was wondering if any one had been there before. Any info from survival minded peoples is better than info from luau party-going tourists.

I'll be in canyon for 4 days, napalli coast 3 and 1 day in hanalei.

I got the water filter w/ iodine for leptocisis(?) it is in the fresh water worse than giardia.

I got the busse for pineapples and mangos

I got the rain gear

The idea for photocopying specific survival info was great,I'll do some of that.

Try not to leave anything valuable in your car at the Napali coast, as there is a fair risk of ripoffs while you are backpacking. Violent crime? Nah. I use a Gerber backpax for opening coconuts; your Busse should work. Have a great trip. The Hawaiian islands are great for hiking and camping. Be prepared for rain and mud! Oh yeah, there are mosquitoes, also, so bring a tent with netting.

Oh I hate that, she is such a nit picker.
