Going Barefoot?

A couple year ago , we went into the desert for a camping trip , my oldest boy and I were stalking a critter , and doing OK too , we got close enough to take a no miss possible shot when my boy stepped onto some prickles

not just lawn prickles but desert prickles , 3/4 inch long thinner than sewing needles but barbed prickles .... he let out some pretty impressive noises and was making a hell of a fuss about it ...scared our critter away real quick ...

we spent a few days pulling the spines out of our feet , Id walked thru them too but hadnt noticed ...

the moral I spose is that while you generally are quieter moving barefoot , you can also be a hell of a lot noisier too :)

well its three times in a row now you made useless comments directed at me
if you got something to say say it in a pv, i'll read and discard it with the rest of my hatemail

nice to see i am better in shape now, then when that pic was taken :)

I go barefoot as much as possible. Because of bad health I sweat easily, and find that my feet like my hands act like radiators. I have thick pads from walking around in barefeet nearly all the time. It makes life easier when canoing, yardwork, and yes cutting firewood. I pay attention to where the axe goes, but much of the time I worry more about the piece of wood falling onto my foot scraping the skin.

I get more foot problems from wearing shoes and boots. Nearly every winter I get foot rot from wearing sweaty winter boots, and these fungal infections are hard to get rid of.

If you have stiff back and neck muscles try walking bearfoot out on the lawn, or if your foot pads are thick, go walk anywhere and you will find that the muscles will relax and back and neck pain reduced. Many problems start from wearing foot wear too long, we were mean't to walk with our bearfeet.
