Well....
Short version....
I'm going to give edcing my Umnumzaan for a year a shot. Looking for people to join me and or wish me luck! Also stories of your long term edc and how long you have carried for inspiration.
Long version....
I flip flop and rotate knives obsessively.. from slip joints to pocket fixed blades to swiss army to U.S. made only.....
I just received my new Umnumzaan on the same day I got my journeyman electrician exam results.. 94%! So I passed. Now that I can officially have apprentices work for me I think that umnumzaan means mister or boss is ironic. Also the Umnumzaan has a date of manufacture one day different than the day I was married (well the year is different but the month and day are the same)
Plus.... I want the satisfaction of having the same knife day after day. Someday I would like to look back and feel I really got my moneys worth for once. If I carry it for long enough it will only cost pennies a day!
I'm going to attempt retiring from the search for the perfect knife. I'm trying to switch philosophies to appreciating the things I already have. Which is one amazingly designed and built knife! It's not like I will be suffering!
