Going from tactical to traditional...

When tacticals startd getting popular, I bought some up.A Spyderco Turzola (if you can call that tactical), Then a Benchmade cqc7, a kershaw and a Gerber.I really like how well made they are,but there is nothing like a traditional folder.The Turzola Spyderco got some use, but the others just sit there unused.I just picked up a Robeson barlow, with the intention of keeping it in the box, mint, but it ended up in my pocket.You can't enjoy them in a box.My collection is a mix match of everything so displaying them is out.I guess I'm more of a user collector.
Heres my new one. Jigging is beautiful.

Sorry my friend....you have to return those NEW knives! You are only KEEPING a few of your old family blades...REMEMBER!! I have to save you from backsliding...into the habit you just freed yourself from..."COLLECTING"!!Course there is...another way instead of going thru the hassle of returning the knives!!You can send them to two guys that will take good care of them Me & Bastid!!:D

Jim, I think it would only be right for me to ask you to send some of jackknife's knives along to me as well...I don't want this collecting "disease" to destroy your's and Bastid's lives any more than it already has! Just trying to be a friend and help!

Your kind gesture...brings tears to my eyes!:rolleyes:However....I think Bastid & myself...will just have to "be brave"& accept those knives from Jack.
I couldn't bear the burden of YOU becoming a "COLLECTOR"!:DSo...I'm gonna run to the mailbox...everyday & wait for Jack's knives to arrive!

My name is jackknife, and I'm a knifeohaulic!

It's tough, but I've resisted buying any knives. I'm still just using the old ones, with a Wenger SI backing them up for the real dirty jobs I don't want to screw up dad's or grandads or Uncle Mikes old knife on.
