Be more careful? Keep your fingers away from places they shouldn't be? Just two that come to mind:D

Well I guess Ill spare a rabbit considering it was nothing more than a belt cut 1/2 inch long and deep. I didnt know till now how the belt could cut from the edge. The fine grit 400 that got me really stung its more like a burning cut. I dont even want to think what 100 grit would do. guess ill blow some dust off the old rabbits foot .

Ground the skin off a knuckle down to the bone. Been close to a year now and it is finally healing fully, I hope..

Chuck now thats gotta sting for a long time, burns like that are real bad. I super glued my finger but then washed a blade in acetone and remembered the cut real fast.

This was not burn a but an abrasion. I had a nice new disc on and the blade slipped. It ground to the bone before I could react. It took a long time for the skin to grow back around it. Now it has a scab but underneath it will fill up with fluid. It has to be drained once in a while or it does get painful. I will be seeing the Doc this month and will probably bring it up. Might need to be cut out and stitched up. I did get a nasty burn from my salt pot around the same time. Got in a hurry and did not make sure the blade was completely dry and clean. Erupted just like a volcano and burned through the glove. Nasty burns on 2 fingers. Just goes to show that we really need to be careful.
