going south knife give away!!!

OK the give away is over with this post
closest number to actual count wins
and in case of tie - like say-
one is one under and one over will toss a coin
box a at 69.5 lb had 140 one tens in it
boa b at 69.7 lb had 144 one tens in it

total of 284 one ten and related knives!
i have a few more now as i found some later
and bought some at the smkw shindig...

will mail out the knives later this week or next weekend
after i get winners addresses...
have to check back wards to see who won now..

sorry rudder my mistake, was distracted by phone call ...
winners will need to read the thread and send me their addresses
and i will try to have them sent this coming weekend
the post office is over 20 miles away so have to combine trips

No problem my friend, I have to admit, I noticed for compltely selfish reasons...I was only 4 off on the total and was checking if I was close enough:p

the next give away will be the annual sales slogan contest
that did not get finished earlier this year
if things go right
that prize will be the EDC knife right out of CJ's pocket!
so get your sales ideas wrote down and save them !

yes this far in the boonies you have to plain trips!
but it is nice looking at the horses and cattle grassing cross the fence..
some times i even find a cow in my yard!
but it is a job bush hogging 10+ acrs when the weeds get out of control
but would not trade it for a condo in Miami !
 
Shucks, missed the total by ONE! Story of my life--always the bridesmaid, never the bride. That was fun.........

Hi Dave,

Wow how cool I've never won anything before in my life. Thanks for all of your fun give away's! That gift from you has lifted my spirit, I had to take a job in NV and don't get to see my family until the weekends (also no computer until I get home:(, that has me down a bit). I'm going to see Chuck Buck at BPS in the morning;).

i added an extra week hopeing that
gilariversun would contact me
the other two winners had their knives sent out a day or two ago
and they might post picts of what they won
hope so as i forgot to take any
if any one knows gilariversun please tell him he has a week
then i will send the knife to a GI or scout
so if any knows some one in either of thoes two catagorys
feel free to send me their addy and i will pick some one to get it
all knives will go away

and you guys - be a thinking of what slogan would encourage you to buy a
Buck Knife and hold that thought as it may get you the
knife right out of the pocket of the man that makes them!!!
 
110 Dave, is there a separate thread for the slogan contest?

I'll enter that contest, but since I've already won a knife from you, if I get the first place I'll waive the prize and let it go to someone else. A slogan contest sounds like fun and I do have a couple ideas. :)

And I will post a pic of the knife you sent me.
 
yes i have done a slogan contest for many years now..
it is an annual contest that i do at diffrent times of the year
and is jest for fun ....
this will be the best knife yet as it is a unique edc knife with provenance!
yep this knife will come right out of CJ's pocket!
he still needed it for a while so i dont have it as yet

i used to post my give aways in different forms here at
blade forums to get folks to come to this Buck section

but a mod said that it is spam so i can only post them here..
dont know how it is spam as nothing for sale but that is what he said
and he locked the thread ...
could be they need a contest section in general knife threads?
 
The prize knife, the Sirus arrived today. I've never had a Buck with ASAP opening, and this does indeed look like a nice little user.

For those interested, it's a new build-out that 110 Dave bought from Joe Houser, black frame with rose colored inlay. The blade has "295" with arrow facing right (2009), and the box number is 297BO6 08-24-09. I'll post a pix this week after the Labor Day commotion.

Sorry again for the cell phone pix, but I am getting a Canon digital camera and should soon have better photos to post in this forum. But for now, here is the prize knife. The grip and feel is a bit different from the Vantage and 110 (my two other user types) but I'm getting used to it and liking it more each time. It's a nice little knife and it was a great contest. 110 Dave had to PM me to let me know I won, since I wasn't checking the thread. I just assumed I wasn't going to win. Thanks again, Dave. :)
