Going Stag - Class is in session.

I'm sorry guys that's not my moose just a picture of a good one I found surfing.
Frankly I'm not sure I want to kill a moose. No sport in it and one hell of a lot of work since you have to take it in whole to be weighted, teeth checked, measured etc.

Now you think about that just a bit. No slicing and dicing to managable portions.

I think you'd need a skidder to move the one you pictured! Got to be a at least a thousand pounds there...

Now I know your a real Mainer. That is how they do it. Last I talked to so someone about it it was $50 to the skidder guy but that was 8 years ago or so.

Those big one give a 1/2 ton pick-up a real work-out.

LOL -- I may be in Utah now, but ya can't take the Mainer of the woodsman ;) Spent the first 45 years of my life in Maine and New Hampshire. I know one guy that moves them with his 1 ton pickup, getting them out of the woods would be a huge challenge!

my sister lives in Hew Hampshire for the past 30 years...
nice place..
people sound funny there.. well so does my sister now too..
