With the recent TSA Exposure

I bet they are looking to make an example of someone.

Double and triple check your carry on stuff.

Funny you say that mate, earlier in the year I was travelling with work and then taking some extra time for myself to look around. packed my camera bag but with the carry on weight restrictions I decided to pull out anything that was not essential. So about an hour before I left for the airport I stuck my hand waaaay down in a pocket and came out with five live 7.62 rounds.... my guts dropped !!! That would have made for an interesting conversation at the gate I am sure !!!!! By recollection that had been there for around 4 months !!!

Good advice mate...check and tripple check !!!!

I actually
Had a Folder go through last year in my carry on bag, I thought about it on the ride home and sure enough there it was .

Ha! OTOH, I lost a Swiss Army Classic (teeny little folder) to TSA last year from my carry on bag.

My son in law went from Dallas to Denver in January with his Blur in his carry on before he realized it was there. Mailed it back as he was on his way to Portland.

My dad actually made it onto a plane once with his Mini-Grip still clipped in his pocket. Totally forgot it was there until he was sitting in his seat and reached for his phone. He made sure to put it into his checked baggage on the way back, lol

I fedex overnight my stuff home. I don't trust tsa not to take knives out of my checked bags...damn thieves.

That's why I drive wherever I can. Of course, traveling with Beef it might be nice if there was someone to do a bag safety check.

I do this as well. I wouldn't trust them with my dirty laundry much less any expensive cutlery.

I ship my knives home via UPS, which is just down the road from the Cobb Galleria.;)

Garth, I am with you!!
Driving can take long and kinda sucks, but I don't have to worry about those pesky TSA folks!!!

As a PSA if you are driving down for Blade. Traffic fatalities are up something like 25% this year in Georgia. Police have been out heavy recently as well .Don't DUI or anything foolish and realize that a huge percentage of the drivers in Atlanta are not from Atlanta and drive rather aggressively. Trust me, I get to enjoy it every day.

I would much rather drive than fly now days. Every time I go through an airport now I think, "so this is what it would be like if the nazi's won."

I had a lighter in my hiking backpack. The thing must have been stuck in a corner there for years. I vaguely remember putting it in there.
Anyways after many (!) flights with it TSA finally found it for me.

If they find it they are usually nice and just throw it in some bin.

If they don't find it and you discover your knife in your bag on an aeroplane should you give it to the flight attendant? Or would things turn south? I can imagine they'll be making an example out of you to hide their own lapse of missing it. Better to keep quite then? For sure better to check all pockets before the security check but stuff happens.

When I was a Civil Servant, I had to fly TDY on numerous occasions. Now that I'm retired, if I can't drive someplace I don't go there! It is that simple. I will NOT get on another airplane. Additionally, I am licensed for concealed carry in 37 or 38 states, I believe, and won't go to any of the states that don't recognize my right to carry a gun. That includes most of the New England states, NY, Maryland, NJ, D.C. and of course the left coast bastion of libtardness, "Komifornia". Just my .02.
