Going to San Fran - anythinbg I should know?

Aren't daggers (anything double-edged, fixed blade or not, regardless of size) illegal anywhere in CA?

Well, this is somewhat off topic, but no they are not. This is a common misconception. Double edged knives are treated the same as single edged knives under California law, which is to say they may not be carried concealed if they are a fixed blade, and may be carried concealed if they are a closed folder. For a more detailed discussion including links and citations to the relevant code sections see this thread.

Best regards,

Argyll

Hey, on the topic of TAD Gear, do they have more knives in the store than they list online? I noticed that their online selection has lessened somewhat of late ... I want to go there to pick a knife out in the near future, but I don't see any of my top choices listed on their site (BM presidio, HK 14210, Paramilitary).

It can vary, best thing to do if you don't want to go there just to find out, is to call. They don't carry many BMs and Spydies, they're more on the high end folder/fixed blade side. If you wanted to physically get your hands on some BMs and Spydies prior to buying them, check out the store in the Pier 39 strip. I think it's called "We Be Knives". I might be thinking of another store though (just the name, the store is in Pier 39 for sure). You can only go there to look though, no buying unless you love MSRP.
