Hi, I am going to Florida for a visit next week. I'm tired of only looking at spydercos and benchmades on the Internet! Does anyone know if there is a good knife store in Orlando?

Thanks

Bass Pro Shops has a good selection but they always price everything about + $10 or more than everywhere else.
There are many Military Surplus stores in Orlando and a few small knife shops. Google them.

Not that I know of - most brick and mortar shops are overpriced compared to what you can find at the bay or the large south american rainforest. Shoot Straight is around here but they really mark up their knives something awful...

Any trip to Orlando should include a stop by Randall Made Knives. Started in 1938 and still going strong.

If you're staying till August 3 or 4 id say check out the Suncoast gun show in Tampa. Its held at the state fairgrounds. There's always a couple booths with a decent selection. I've seen Benchmade, Spydercos, Emerson, Chris Reeve, ZT, Microtech, ESEE, among others. Prices will vary from a good deal to too expensive, but you can get plenty in hand.

There's a huge Outdoor World/ Bass Pro Shop near there. I've been inside, the knife selection is nice. This was before I was serious about knives, and I was going to get a Wenger SAK. I didn't, it was like $50

Thanks all. Ill check out bass pro shop as I have to go there anyway for some fishing gear. Not really planning to buy anything, I'd just like to go be able to handle various knives I have so far only seen on the Internet. Ill make a point of trying to get by Randall knives too!

Head up to Daytona beach for a day on the weekend. It's only about an hour away and the flea market has a bunch of knife vendors.

Come on down and you can look at all mine! I'm 2-3 hours away, but I've got the #1 beach in the USA that we can go to!

If you head over to this side of the state near Tampa, there is a brick and mortar store in New Port Richey I can direct you to.

I would head over and make time to see the Randall Knives spot. I hear they make some pretty nice ones. ;)

Don't miss ruffs saddle shop or cowboy knives.....they got an internet site so you can see what they got. Its in umatilla.....north west of orlando by an hour plus depending on where ya are in orlando...but far closer than the 2 plus hour ride to tampa bay.

Point of note randall is a must see, but rarely can you buy a randall there laying on a shelf. I've never been when they had stock for sale, but I've seen videos and heard stories sometimes they'll have a few knives for sale.

Basspro is a nghtmare, unless ya like lots of tourists. I've found a lack of choices and inventory, for certain items, but plenty of everything i didn't want or need to look at...too each their own though. There is also a gander mountain in lake mary....next county up close to sanford. Its more a gun store shooting range now...but also fishing and outdoor stuff.

Welcome to florida and thanks for spending your hard earned money down here. Oh and.......

Just my opinion but all the flea markets are a waste of time. Most are filled with fakes, stolen merchandise, and well you get it.

Ditto.
I go to the flea markets for the fresh produce and the people watching. I would never risk buying something of value there.
