Hi guys

here are a couple little neck knives that I made this week inspired by this forum. I made a primitive forge a couple weeks ago and have been hammerinig away at some more earthy style of stuff,

both of these were forged out off the tangs of bowies that didn't turn out and I oinly used power to run the blower for the forge and the oven for tempering

I am really enjoing the more rustic/neo tribal stlye of knives and have some larger workers in the works,

I like the top one. Very rustic looking, I bet a nice leather sheath would compliment it a lot.
 
That top one talks to me i love how it looks... As was mentioned it has that rustic look to it... i bet it would be a hit at a camp fire... That twist at the end would be great to just have it hang of a belt while at camp..great work
 
I might be crazy but I think the straight razor would make a good chopper if it had a 9-inch blade. I see things a little twisted.

With a blade starting at 2 inches wide and widening to the point at about 2.5 inches? Twisted or not I like the way you think! :D
 
Hey Guys..

I've handled both of these knives,, and they are pretty cool..

My favorite is the straight razor as well.... LOL :)

here are a couple peices I have in the works, should be done by next week sometime,

the long razor style has a 9 inch blade but only 1 wide 16 oal 3/16 thick 1084
the shorter razor has a 7 1/2 blade that is 1 1/4ish wide 14 oal with a prybar butt 1/4 thick 5160
and the pirate bowie has a 9 inch blade 1 1/8 wide 17 inches oal 3/16 1084

Thats a good combo. 1084 is good for a chopping knife. Got a Fowler in 1084.
