iTP Light has just released a slick little AAA light, the A3 EOS. The A3 EOS comes in two different versions, standard and upgrade, both using a CREE XP-E Q5. The standard edition has one brightness at 80 lumens and the upgrade edition has three brightnesses. The best part? The standard edition is $18.50 and the upgrade edition is $20.50. No, that's not my cost, that's YOUR cost.

Both versions come with a pocket clip and a nice little keychain. I'm impressed with what they have done with this little light, and am excited to see what other people think about it.

All three versions are IN STOCK!

This does sound interesting. I'm still pretty new to flashlights. How would you say iTP compares to brands like Fenix? I notice the equivalent Fenix light (LD01) is twice the price of the A3 EOS upgrade.

Whoops, sorry about the lack of response. I guess I forgot to sign up for notifications on this thread.

iTP has equivalent quality to Fenix. They just took a very aggressive stance on pricing with this light. It is actually using a newer LED than the LD01.

I have the standard version in stock and the upgrade version should be here in the next day or two.

The natural versions are here now as well. All three versions are in stock and shipping!

How is the water resistance on these? VERY palatable price!

They have o-rings at the reflector and body, so they can handle a dunking. I wouldn't go diving with them, but anything short of that is fine.

Just ordered one of these (and some write in the rain stuff, and a badger blank), looking forward to it!

I ordered an upgrade in black with my iTP C7T and it replaced my Fenix E01. I really like the 3 illumination levels and starting with the middle brightness works really well for me. I highly recommend both the A3 EOS and the C7T. Great bang for the buck. I was also very pleased with GoingGear and have recommended them to a couple of people at work (along with iTP lights)

+1, just got my iTP A3 EOS (upgrade version) yesterday, it's replaced my E01. First time I've ever had something this small put out so much light! Really spectacular light, and I too, like the light level it starts on.. I can't get over the cost, it's really quite amazing....thinking about ordering one or two more.

Storl, would you happen to know time to 50% illum?

According to iTP:

Medium 18 lumens (4 hours) -> Low 1.5 lumens (50 hours) ->-High 80 lumens (55 minutes)

And these are digitally regulated, so it's probably more of a rapid drop off than something like what you would see in non-regulated lights.

Ah, so the runtimes listed are to 50%, I thought they were total runtime. Even better then :)

 for regulated lights :)

Thanks!

They are total runtime. What I am saying is that once it starts dropping, it drops fast before giving out. These aren't like a lot of Surefire, Streamlight, etc. lights where they slowly get dimmer. You will have steady output for a long time and then a quick drop to nothing.

Ah, d'oh, wasn't paying attention:o. I got you now. Like my Fenix lights, they seem to have tight regulation judging by how fast they drop. Good to know, sorry for missing that the first time around.
