Gold G10?

I have a customer request for a set of scales with gold-colored material (G10, micarta or similar). I have never seen such a critter, anyone have any suggestions, short of a custom laminate? I have seen carbon fiber with gold-ish coloring but I would rather not use CF if there is an alternative. Thanks for any suggestions.

I believe there is something like that available in corian. I have seen it used in handles before and can usually be found at most larger hardware stores (samples anyway, you may have to order a larger piece). There is also a similar product out now from Samsung that has more metallic options and some colors that would make amazing handles. My mother runs a hardware store and I had her contact their counter-top manufacturers to see if they would send me whatever end cuts or small scraps of anything they had to try out.

Would canvas micarta work? Would it be possible to darken the color slightly?

Juma plate comes in a golden dragon color/texture that might work for you. I don't know where they are located, but I found a US company called Atlas Billiard Supplies that carries it.
