Gold Griptilian dropped in today

After a little further inspection in appears the tang seems to catch the axis lock like TwitchyBlade said but both opening and closing using the stud. Is that normal? Does it work itself out or just something I'm going to have to deal with?

What's the difference between the benchmade gold class gripitilan and the blue class griptilian?

Gold Class: Coated CPM M4 blade steel, solid carbon fiber handle with partial steel liners, solid nickel clip

Blue Class: 154cm blade steel, frn plastic handle with steel liners, not sure what the clip is made out of but it's not nickel.
