Well should I just contact Spark? any email address available?

What seems to be the problem? Did you pay for an upgrade? How long ago? Did you use PayPal? Are you outside the U.S.? All this information would be helpful.

International orders and PayPal payments have to be entered manually and may take a few days. Since the whole site went down for a while a couple of days ago, and the search function was on the fritz even longer, I'm guessing Spark has been really busy, so it may take a little longer than usual.

No problem I was just following the advice of a MOD, I didn't realize Spark was on vacation, I'm not out for anyone's head!
Its been longer that the time allotted in the FAQ? how long should I wait before I contact someone about my membership? weeks? months?
Its not like I joined yesterday and I'm posting the day after?

If you paid via PayPal and/or you are international (I'm guessing Up North, Eh! indicates Canada and not Michigan) and it has been more than three or four days, you certainly have a right to be concerned. Posting when and how you paid, and the order number from your receipt would give Spark the information he needs to look into the matter rather than trying to sort through a thousand transactions looking for your username. Just a suggestion from someone who haunts this subforum a lot.

OK I hear ya, payment via PayPal,Transaction ID #8M1749812P856770E. What about NY state or Maine, New Hampshire?

There are a few places in the U.S. that I have never visited. Most of them are up north (I don't groove on snow). I don't recall hearing a lot of "Eh!"s while I was in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Just being a PayPal transaction means it has to be entered manually. The forum software update is doubtless consuming some of his time, but I'm sure Spark will get to you as soon as possible.
