• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Gold micarta..

I've never personally heard of gold micarta. If no one else has a source, you can always call these folks and inquire. They are a manufacturer and have minimums in a partial sheet. They also have a huge selection and if gold is available they probably can do it.

There is a gold colored Texalium by Hexcel.
It's a fiberglass fabric that is metalized.
It comes in colors of silver (most easily found), gold, green, orange (I think), red, and blue.
I haven't done any laminating with the gold yet, but I've seen some sheets done, and they were really spectacular.

Can anyone direct me to where i can find some? Thanks.

A couple of years ago Kovals was at a knife show in Michigan and they had a bunch of the stuff. Kovals has changed hands and they may no longer sell it but give them a try

Another thing you might try is paper based natural color micarta. It has that a similar color only slightly darker. It darkens with age though. I have seen it on ebay, Not lately though.

I have used the butterscotch paper micarta and natural linen micarta sold by Sheffield. Both finish a nice gold color. I cannot post pictures, but if you email I can send you a couple of pics so you can see the colors.
