Goldfield and inox window folder

Hello, i want to show you this folder. Blade (9 cm) and spring were forged from a X55CrMo14 bar. It was polished to 2500 grit and then finished with polishing paste. Handle is made from Goldfield wood with a cold-forged ring from 304. The lock system is the typical spanish window lock.

I don't want to sound like an ignoramus, but what is a spanish window lock, how does it work? I googled it, but ended up with actual window locks. Anways, the knife is beautiful, but I am curious about that lock.
