I feel like people don't read threw long The Good posts so I'll keep this as short as I can.

I commissioned a custom fixed blade from Eastern European maker Gollik on April 12th, he gave me a time frame of 8 weeks for him to finish it and 10d-2wks for shipping. He sent me pictures and updates along the way and finished up the knife (and sheath) almost to the day @ the 8wk mark and shipping took 6 days with tracking working and updated the entire time!

Knife is PERFECT, couldn't be better, sheath leaves a little to be desired tho I can't really complain much, it is secure and despite that every sheath pic I've ever saw from him was pancake style I requested taco style so it's probably my fault for asking for something new. I have an appt today with a local kydex shop to try to tightening it up (again retention is perfect, I carry CM style [upside down] and it doesn't scare me at all, just rattles a bit).

I choose Gollik for his beautiful grind lines, handle design and pommel styling and he didn't disappoint!

Specs:
5.125" Elmax .205" thick
Chisel ground with raw flats
G10
Hollow ground pommel (for prying and other jobs I didn't want to ask of the blade, already used it too!)

This thread is making me jealous. I couldn't tell you why, but Gollik's knives stand out to me. I just dig the shite out of them.

Super awesome to hear he's great to work with, so I thank you for taking the time to tell us that!

That's wicked Tanto, too. Looks like you could puncture steel with that beast.

Not to my tastes but damn...that's a stout looking knife. What's it intended use?
Doing stupid shit with at my job (I'm a stone mason by day and my wife and I own a medium size horse barn and have 35 borded horses).
Things knives shouldnt do like scraping joints in Paver patios and pounding (with the butt) and digging in soil and concrete and opening pallets and just generally stuff I didn't even want to use my plenty stout production knives (that have warranties) for, if that tells you how much I trust thus knife to hold up to what is CLEARLY ABUSE!

Not really pertinent information to the deal but the dude has some of the coolest metalworking tools I have ever seen!

@gollik you should post a "shop tour" thread!
