I've put this knife together and I got a chance ot use the first one before I sold it. I call it the Golok Jr.

It is 1/8 in thick 1095 with an OAL of 16 inches with a blade of about 10 1/4 inches.

Sorry I don't have in use pics, but it cut limbs, split small logs, made fuzz sticks, cut food, and dug holes. Anything I asked of it, was no problem. Hell, the one I used sold for more than the one I sold new.....

The first one is in this thread.....http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=572636&highlight=dangerous+curves

thanks for lookin....

Well you know what I think of it:D

Maybe if Ilbruce isnt too busy he'll post some pics of mine:thumbup:

Very nice! Its like a nesmuk machete.....the point kind of throws me off as a golok - but I really like the design. Seems so much more stylistic than a standard long blade implement. Perfect thickness IMO. Great work.

Awesome! The lines on that one flow perfectly.

I agree about the point - there is a bit more point than I usually see on a golok.

If so I'll snap some shots tomorrow.

Just be sure to ship it to me sharp (not hard with a Farmer blade) I don't care about scratches on the blade as this is going to get alot of use:D

So yes permission granted:thumbup:

Thanks for the kind words. Not all goloks are long bladed. There are many styles that are short and even curved. I do make a long bladed version, though....

and the point.....well, maybe I took a tiny, little bit of artistic liberty........

Took some shots this morning.

Some size comparisons with the Brute I have dubbed "Pullo" and another golok.

Oh man, thats about all the pics I can bare to see. Now you need to hurry on those sheaths bro. Just kidding, I won't rush perfection!

The bushcrafter looks great, those handles look good and comfy!

Those goloks look very similar to a type knife I used when clearing brush years ago. They were called a corn knife in the hardware store.

Damn David. Thats so sweet!!!
