Nice mod! What is the little cordage made out of near the front of the handle? What did you cut it down to

Some people may ask what the main differences between a golok and a machete are. In my mind after seeing about 19 different forged and production versions of what can be called a "golok", a Golok has a thick spine near the handle (around 1/4) and comes to an almost 1/8 taper down the spine. In some instances, there is a spine to edge taper too.
