Very poor communication from Maggot Brain led to suspicion of being scammed, deleted post to give Maggot Brain benefit of the doubt.

Are you 100% SURE that first one is INFI? Being a sterile RMD, there's no good way to know if it's SR-101 or not, and I do not recall ever seeing a sterile INFImanDu before. I didn't think they would do a sterile one in INFI for this very reason. Do you have proof of lineage to show that it is indeed INFI?

Thought you had me on your 'ignore' list...

Perhaps you should contact the shop, I have nothing more to say to you about anything comrade..... :barf:

Perhaps, for your potential buyers, you should answer the legitimate question I asked you. ;)

Because, based on a phone call I had with the shop regarding getting a sterile INFImanDu when they were being sold, I have serious doubts that RMD you posted is an INFI version, and I'm seriously considering reporting this sales post for deceptive advertising. That may fly on the auction sites, but it won't here.

THAT exchange could TOTALLY have been handled via P.M. Spyderphreak. Bad form. No matter how much you like or dislike someone here.

Pm sent M.B.

It is a legitimate question, unfortunately there are no potential buyers as it is no longer available so it matters not one bit at this point ... Of course if he spent a short time verifying this directly he would have nothing to flap his gums about here.

Please call again and ask for Garth hotshot... I guess they don't like you enough to make you one.

Nice... I asked you a legitimate question, one that I would have asked ANY seller in here in the Busse B/S/T when I saw this knife, based on what I was told by one of the ladies at Busse (pretty sure it was Lexi, but I really don't recall for sure at this point). Instead of just giving a straightforward answer for your buyer's benefit, you have to act like a child and make snide remarks. Being in a sales thread, I have followed the rules and have been civil with you, but you couldn't help yourself, even in your own sales thread. Typical.

Also, it's not for me to call Garth and inquire about this knife, that's up to a potential buyer. A big part of the reason I remarked on your post was so that less knowledgeable potential buyers might know that they need to do EXACTLY that to confirm whether or not this knife was indeed INFI.

You're right, it could have been, but then if the knife turned out to be SR-101 instead of INFI, none of the potential buyers would have had any benefit of the exchange here in the thread. And MB has to keep it somewhat civil here, lest risk infraction. ;)

Had I not called the shop to ask about a sterile INFImanDu at one point myself, and been politely turned down (no, I didn't beg or give them a line about being a long-time customer), I wouldn't have even bothered asking.

Who knows, maybe they changed their mind and the original buyer had already been told OK. Or the other way around; maybe they told me no first, but then later decided it was fine. Either way, for this reason I skipped all INFImanDu variants until the SWATmanDu LEOR came around.

It was a legitimate question, and I beg to differ. I believe it DOES matter, especially with this particular knife, because if it gets re-sold down the line the question is going to come up if even a semi-educated buyer inquires. There is no definitive proof on the knife to prove that it is INFI, and if you recall when Jerry announced the Battle Grade offerings, he said that there would ALWAYS be ways to tell an INFI knife from an identical model in SR-101. This particular knife seems to fly in the face of that statement. Enough gum flapping for you? :p

Still haven't called the shop pertaining to my particular knife I see, I believe the burden of proof is on you at this point seeing as you are pointing the fingers.... let us know when you have something definitive to go off of.
