Here are the photos and the specs of this Siegle Chopper. It has been used by me - the 2nd owner - but previously unused. This one is unsigned but was confirmed by Bill to be one of his. The PM exchange between Bill and me detailing this was lost in the BF format changeover.
Here are the specs:
• BLADE length 10.5"
• Widest point 2.25"
• OVERALL Length 16"
• 5160 steel at 1/4" thick
• WEIGHT without sheath 31.65 oz.
• G-10 handles
• kydex sheath
• 16 inches overall in length.
You can see in the photos that it has been used but well cared for.
As it is heavy chopper I modified the handle with the grooves to make it easier to hold on to with gloves or wet hands but I determined that the neoprene tape was a MUCH better grip. Sticks to itself and holds even with abuse. I removed it for these photos to show the detail I incorporated into the handle. The blade is sharp, sharpened by hand by me, as I used it. I typically wiped the blade and oiled it before returning it to the sheath.
The knife will be sold with the neoprene tape removed from the handle.
HERE is the detail I filed into the handle. Works pretty well but I prefer the tape.
HERE are a few blade edge close ups.
Selling only because I have some Khukuris that make this one redundant. If I had sons this one would be one they'd be fighting over.
If you are interested I will sell for RELIST Big and heavy so S&H will be a bit pricey.
