Hi, do you know if the BR is differentially heat treat or not? I don't see a hamon but it could have been polished away. Thanks!! GLWS they are beauties.
My understanding is that it is differentially heat treated. From what I remember, all the flat ground SBRs were. You can see a line on both sides of the blade about 1/4 to 3/8" from the edge. It starts near the choil and follows the curve of the blade up to the point. I'm assuming that's the hamon.
