While the item shipped wasn't a knife (a pen) the experience does belong. I won the pen on e-bay, item was supposed to have been shipped (3/31 billing info received); but, never arrived. The seller gave me a refund, filed with UPS for reimbursement, I signed a form stating I had not received the item. All this was finishing up in late May. Well this evening the UPS truck pulls up; it seems they found it in whatever rabbit hole it fell into. I think I know what the problem was though: there was a date stamped on the package APR 01 2004 (apparently when it was given to UPS). It was an April fools JOKE
