Kind of a strange story. No one could just "un-click" the seat belt? o_O
Maybe he'll get sued now for damage to property.

Probably un-clicking wouldn't have released the tension.

Yea I mean the kid let himself get choked by the belt to begin with

Expecting him to untangle himself with a button release seems a bit optimistic in that scenario

Hahahaha

I wonder what that kid was doing

We’re living in different times. I used to bring my pocket knife to school and my shop teacher used to sharpen it for me. We’d all be in jail now. Glad I’m old

Same here. For me it was back in the '70s. My male typing teacher actually introduced me to Buck Knives by showing me his 303 Cadet. Before that, my only pocketknives were Schrades. I'd heard people mention Buck Knives before, but I had thought it was a generic term for a hunting knife, like when someone says "Xerox" when referring to copying. I had thought that "Buck knife" referred to a knife for field dressing deer; I hadn't known that Buck was the family name of a knife company until my teacher told me about it (during class, of all places, when I saw him sharpening a pencil with his knife and asked him about it).

Many years ago, there was a news story about a woman who was stuck in traffic due to road construction going on. As she was waiting, for some reason her car caught fire on the inside, and she couldn't undo her seatbelt. Several construction workers ran over and tried to help, but apparently, *not one of them had a cutting tool on them to cut her seatbelt with* and free her. Not even something like a Stanley or Husky utility knife. Or if they did, nobody ever thought about using it. Apparently, they had tried hard to get her out of there but weren't able to. Sadly, the lady ended up burning to death in her car. It's tragic all-around, and a knife *could have* resulted in a different outcome.

Not sure what a godly or godless world had to do with any of it.
Most unfortunate. :( Check out Chic-fil-As' founders' basic philosophy (e.g. not open on Sunday; predicted to be a death sentence for the business at the time)

They better pray that Pollo Campera doesn’t start opening stores next to theirs. They opened up here next to a KFC and killed it dead. Chick-fil-a was dead for me from the get-go.

This article was about a boy using his knife to save a kid that somehow got wrapped up in a seatbelt. Context folks. Take your personal feelings on Chickfila to the political thread or something.
