Hey all having a hard time tiring to find a good belt for fixed blade cary will be for camp/hiking use. I'am relay skinny so about a 28 to 29 inc waist any help would be cool bought one turned out to be a cop belt and was like a 3 inch wide monster lol.

Thanks

Gould and goodrich belts. Leather designed to carry firearms. They'll hold any knife you can put on them, multiple in fact.

There are a ton of belts copied from the "Wilderness Instructor" belt. These belts are heavy reinforced nylon with a metal or polymer V-ring buckle. 5.11 makes them, Blackhawk, Viking Tactics. They're very popular as gun belts, but they're also great as general-purpose outdoor belts. You may not need one of the 5-stitch reinforced types, maybe one of the more flexible.

I wear a Bison Last Chance Heavy Duty. I've owned it for 6 or 7 years. The Velcro still holds well, and I can hang about anything off of the belt comfortably. I think I paid about $25 for it. It's my normal weekend belt, regardless of whether I'm carrying or not.

I also own a Gould and Goodrich. Good belts. A bit more money but a great choice if you want leather.

My favorite is a Simply-ruggerd.?.spelling or crossbreed
They make high quality gun belts mine is two years old and like new no doubling / curling a bit stiff at first like a good holster but will settle in fast around $60.00 to $90.00 depending on size, color and style.

And this has to do with knives how?

Sounds like he wants a good belt that will easily handle any large fixed blade he wants to hang from it.

To actually add something, I'd look at something from The Belt Man if you want leather. Made for firearms carry, lots of options available. Also great to deal with.

Lots of custom leather shops can make you exactly what you want and fit you just right. As far as production belts, Filson makes a good double thick belt that is 1 1/4" wide that is nice enough to wear for business casual and robust enough to carry sidearms & sheaths. Coronado Leather makes a very nice Bison leather belt that has a stitched on inside layer of cowhide.

Thank you all very much will look these up and see whats what. :D

PS. 5th post on these forums and have to say very helpful and friendly pep's here !

I've gone to the reinforced operator/instructor belts from 511 or Galco. You have a lot more adjustment and they hold up well in any condition.

Here's a stock photo of the Galco reinforced instructors belt. You can get it in 1.5" or 1.75" width and in various sizes.

Maxpedition Liger Gun Belt.

Last belt I ever bought(two of them). The cheap($30 a piece, so maybe not "cheap";)) leather belts I used to get from Ross/Walmart would separate at the buckle in about 3 months each. Nylon belts were a bit gimmicky, hard to take off and on, and would fray easily at the edges. The Liger belts were purchased 3 years ago and are still going strong. Most I've had on my belt was a Buck 110 in a pouch, a Spyderco Moran fixed blade, and a ZT 0121(a sharpened brick essentially:D). That doesn't count the crap I had in my pockets(wallet, iPhone, Shure SE535 earphones, 2x Hexarmor 360 Chrome gloves, a FourSevens Quark AA Turbo, a Moodoolar Shorty Clicky 1000 lumens flashlight, a Benchmade Griptilian, and another large knife like an Andrew Demko AD-10). Keys were clipped to my belt loop. Also waist size is 36.

So yeah, I gave that thing a run for its money:thumbup:.

Forget camping, it's quite literally the last belt you will ever need.

Was just about to post this.

However, you will not be able to find one easily now. They have been discontinued right now according to an email I got from the maker. They are working on updating the Liger belt but do not have a tentative date for release. That said, I got mine on the 'bay.

I've been using a wilderness belt for a few years now. Works well for me.
