Good blade sources?

I'm looking to buy some blades to add my own wood to. I've found some enzo and helle blades I've already worked with, but I'm wondering what else you guys suggest? Specifically, I'm looking for quality knives made from quality metal. Camp style would be my profile choice in either Scandi or flat.

I'm really open to suggestions, since these will be created for my three sons.

Also - how is a blade stone washed?

Not sure about blades but stone washing, a acid etch and a tumbler and ceramic media. Or a big plastic jar, stones, wrap in a blanket and put it in the dryer. Quick google search comes up with some decent results a lot of lead to this site.

Condor Knife and Tool sells their Kephart blank (full flat ground), Woodlaw, and Bushlore blanks (both scandi) at a reasonable price. The only steel they offer is 1075 which I'm sure is tempered pretty soft since the bushcraft guys always like to talk about sharpening on river stones and what not. Honestly I think the Kephart looks pretty good and is cheaper than I could cut, grind, and send out to HT. (Unless I made a bunch.) Also Brisa, the Finnish knifemaker supplier, carries a lot of blanks. Mostly of the puukko variety. Thompson Knife Supply sells a lot of stuff from Brisa and is located in the good ol' USA. Of the puukko blanks offered, I think the Lauri PT series is a screaming bargain. Once again I don't think I could cut, grind, and send out for HT for anywhere near what these sell for. I'm not sure what carbon steel Lauri uses but here is the composition as they list it; C-0,81 Mn-0,56 S-0,004 P-0,01 Si 0,35 V-0,161 Cr-0,54 Which looks really close to 80CRV2. Finally as a disclaimer, I have not personally worked with or examined in person any of these blanks. Good luck, hope this helps.

Texas knife sells nearly finished blades that you can use to add your wood to.
