Good book about plants/trees/wild edibles?

I try to get books covering indigenous plants of my region. But I do have wider ranging books on trees and mushrooms.

Just saw your Icon. Love "we are the robots"

Larry Dean Olsen's survival book has full color plates at the back. Its great for western US IDs

Ordered A Field Guide to Edible Wild Plants: Eastern and central North America (Peterson Field Guide) today, I'll let yall know when I get it. Chris

Here's my standard reference library. Sam Thayer is my favorite (I now own both of his books), followed by Elias & Dykeman. I borrow anything I can on wild edibles from my local library. Cross-reference your sources and confirm with others, such as those experts found here on this forum.

Also, pester Doc Canada for advice. That's how I got started! :D

Library books ? That's actualy a good tip for someone seeking info. What I have done for historical research is photo copy or use my digital camera and take pics of interesting pages.
