Generally speaking about folding knives, is there a book that is a must have? I see Bob Terzuolas book going for huge money and others are a little bit ( a lot) less. Why is this?

I'll have the same question.

What books about knifemaking do you suggest to have ?
Folders and Fixed.

I'll probaly make order on usaknifemaker on the end of next month with some materials, and also I want to buy some good books :)

In respect to liner lock folders, I think BT's book is the best.
It gives you understanding into the lock.

It's stupid expensive Now because it's out of print
You can't buy a new copy from the publisher, just from profiteers.

I have a copy and a spare.
I'm not sure I would part with the spare, even at the rates they try to sell them for on amazon.

amazon canada 1,200$ and up

I doubt anyone is buying at that price, I suspect it's just manipulation of the used book buy rate.

It's been scanned and uploaded so you can read it free, just not at the same quality level as having the real paper book.

I say buy every book you can on the subject because you will learn something different from each.

Except "Blade Magazine's guide to making knives" It's not a how to book.
They just threw a handful of unpublished magazine style articles into a book with shoddy editing.

More book and resources to help you learn

How to make folding knives by ron lake is a good book and not very expensive. I am not a big fan of the robinson book, he uses a lot of machinery, good if you have the equipment.

See, I'm a huge fan of Don Robinson's book, "Slipjoints My Way." Lots of good take aways in there, and the guy is a real gentleman.

If you're going to get into machining at all, Karl Moltrech's Machine Shop Practice volumes 1 and 2, and James Harvey's Machine Shop Trade Secrets are invaluable.

I have enjoyed Eugene Shadley's book, "How I make a multi-blade folding knife" The pictures are really good, and I thought the details were covered well.
