Hi im in the serach of a new chopper under 100 bucks, any good ideas? I only have one demand, no fingergrooves, they never fit my hand!

Depending on your definition of chopper the Esee 6 can be found new online for just a little over $100 and has a pretty good reputation.

Husqvarna hatchet, Becker BK9, Ontario SP series has a bunch that are respectable. Personally, I'm an advocate of hatchet over knife for chopping and splitting as the physics are just better and I hate doing any kind of fine task with a giant, thick knife, but there are a lot of good options for choppers in your price range. Almost forgot the Condor Boomslang.

I've been considering a Browning Barker-Crowell Competition cutter. They seem very well regarded. Very slightly over $100, looks like they can be had for under $110 shipped, maybe better if you shop around. The tapered tang is fairly rare for a production knife.

I do like the browning! Already got a kukri! I live in Sweden so the moras i do have more than i can ever use!

HI Kukri.
They have their own subforum here at Blade forums.
Great choppers and beautiful.
Usually they cost more than 100 but sometimes they sell blems with a tiny crack in the handle or some other minor thing, for less than 100.

What are you chopping? If you already have a kukri are you just looking for something new or do you need a different capability such I as something lighter or heavier? What type of kukri do you have?

This Schrade is a chopping wood processing beast. The finger grooves do not come into play when I chop, because I use a three finger grip and rely on the lanyard for secure grip. Best survival/camp knife for under $50.00. This is 1095 steel too.
