Good classic bowie under 100

You aren't going to find a large, good quality, classically-styled bowie for less than $100, IMHO. A good quality piece is going to run you at least twice that. Everyone has their own definition of what "good quality" means, I have yet to see a bowie for less than about $250 or so that I would call "nice".

Although they're not my cup of tea, the Hibben bowies from the recent "Expendables" movie might be worth looking at.

Those run around $90.
FWIW, most classic bowies did not have full tangs. They had stick tangs.

I always liked my Puma Bowie. This 6" blade may be shorter than most for a bowie, but for about $70.00, it is really nice!

I have started to get into knife and hawk fighting and I was looking for a good classic bowie that would function as a weapon but also a tool. I would go for the laredo bowie but it is too expensive. My main interest was the windlass bowies at Atlanta cutlery. What kind of steel is used to make these knives? Is it made out of leaf springs like a lot of knives coming out of india like kukris.

How "classic" are you looking? Like "historically accurate sandbar knife" classic?

Or "1952 Iron Mistress with Alan Ladd" classic?

I'm looking for the same thing as well. I was seriously looking at a Laredo bowie, till I found out they didn't have a full tang. As far as I can tell, the Atlanta cutlery stuff is just high quality wall hangers. Could be wrong though. It seem like it would be easy to find a traditional styled, quality, large bowie. It seems like there's not a lot until you get into the custom made arena.

I have the same thinking about Atlanta but could be wrong.

I know it has been talked about but, the Winchester bowie is the best value knives I have ever bought. I don't mean value as in cheaply made I mean you cant beat the price to quality. I've used it to hack down a dead ceder (about six inches in diameter). Sheer and chop off the branches, cut it into pieces, and baton some to get the fire going. I used this knife like it only cost me twenty five bucks because it did, and it stood up to everything. I like the coil and the finger grip handle the only thing about it that is not the "classic" bowie knife. The sheath is sturdy and the two dome straps hold the knife in there tight. I didn't know about it being full tang but......
wow.

Recently, I did the market research and compile a list of top bowie knives.

ALL the classical bowie knives here under 100$: /
.....most all would agree that NONE of the knives you list are close to "classical" (you mean "classic" right ?) Bowie Knives (no matter the cost)..

Cold Steel 1917 Frontier Bowie.

This^^^ one just sold on the ex yesterday for under a ben and it was new. I'd keep my eye on the production knife f/s forum. I should have grabbed it myself but didn't jump in time. Check out the reviews on it.
