I want to add a dagger to my collection. I would like it to have a blade between 7 and 9 inches and be $200 or under . any thoughts ?

Im not a big dagger guy myself, simply because I cant legally carry it.

But TOPS rangers edge is a BADASSlooking dagger, check it out. Another option I almost pulled the trigger on is the "Ontario Knife Co." Survival dagger, with the kraton handle, and partially serrated edge. given the materials its made of, cant beat it for 50 bucks.

Ecos knives also makes some dang fine daggers aswell, some with very gnarly hollow ground edges.

I collect ecos kiridashis, and I have a custom fixed blade from them. They make a top notch product, and dirt cheap prices.

Boker Fairbairn Applegate
Blackhawk Knives UK Special Forces Knife
Scorpion Knives Scorpion Dagger

If you want a custom dagger, check out Dan Graves in the custom maker's market. It would be a little over your budget, but not by much. He does excellent work and is quite affordable. I had an order I sadly had to cancel because of family health problems. Still sad about it.

Single edged, therefor technically not a dagger. Now for the real deal in overkill

Cold Steel Shanghai Shadow. I have numerous daggers, and the Shadow is among my faves. It's one piece of tough 1055 steel, has thin edges that can get spooky sharp with little effort, a wicked point, and it's just huge and impressive looking in the "flesh." Can also be had for around $30 shipped.

that hog beater is nice. but I'm having trouble finding the browning hunting dagger of anybody could help.

shadow is nice in its cutting but I don't like the ring it looks like a ninja knife

devils brigade is nice.

still trying to find that browning. and I hear the F-S dagger can be poor quality depending on the company

Every knife can be poor quality depending on the company. That's why you buy from a reputable company.

what's a reputable company that makes F-S daggers

this is why I'm worried.

The Böker plus Schanz dagger is very good, though it has a sharp guard and square handle
Also it is built like being run over by a tank is a serious design concern

The scorpion dagger is really not so good, very square handle, HUGE butt and questionable steel & finish

The treeman dagger looks very impressive, but it costs like 450 $
