Here in MN, the ground looked like those first photos on Nov 13, and we haven't seen the grass since. Snow is knee deep in the yard, and the banks along the driveway are higher than my head. But we only got a few inches in this "blizzard of 2011" that clobbered everyone else. We did have a low temp of -18F one night.
