**GOOD DEAL ON SIFU***

DOH!

I just bought my Sifu SE a couple of weeks ago. I could have saved some dough. =[

hehe, thanks for posting this here though, cause i would have never seen it in the section it was posted in. =]

I was pretty disappointed that Mike T only had combo edge Carnivores. Would have bought a plain blade one on the spot. Oh well.

Clyde,

If Bugs3x doesn't take you up on your offer of the Carnivour, I have a couple of knives with your name on 'em to trade ya for it...

Hi guys. This poor security guard/college self-defense instructor has been drooling for a long time now over that SE D2 Sifu...

And yep, I just ordered one from Mike. I should get it Friday, if the shippers do their job and I'm home at the right time.

But ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY DOLLARS IS STILL A LOT OF $$$$$$!!!!

The most I've paid before is about $60 each for my Ascent and my CS Gunsite II.

I hope I like this gargantuan blade!!

Since I'm forking out this much dough, I guess I'd be irresponsible not to carry it.

(Fortunately, no blade length restrictions in Ohio Revised Code. Unfortunately, there are probably local blade length codes? But then, I know I've broken stupid laws before without even knowing it. Ask me if I care!

) A Sifu is just a tool for large cutting jobs, of course.

Wait'll I put it on the bagel table at the health club...they thought my pink Delica was cute!

Pennyless,
Karl

Safety Guy,

You WILL like your Sifu. Actually, I think that you will LOVE it, as I do mine!.

I also have a Cold Steel Vaquero Grande, which IS a larger folder than the Sifu, but guess which one is my FAVORITE, and my EDC knife...

And how many knives have you seen that are long enough to slice an entire bagel in one cut?

Hope you like yours as well as I like mine!

Hi guys. Just got it today! Was typing on Practical Tactical when the knock came. Got offline as expediently as possible and examined the newest member of my knife family.
I thought the clip would be movable, but it ain't. That's no problem, however, since this one is a strong side carry natural!

NOW I can see why some folks don't like FRN, as the SS liners and G-10 heft really well, and the texture of the G-10 is not as slippery as I thought it might be
smile.gif
. Also, the edges are chamfered okay, although someday maybe I'll consider some custom work...perhaps a little more rounding of a few edges or reshaping of the thumb placement area (saber grip feels nice, although I tend towards a "paintbrush" type with thumb and forefinger a little more close together).

Hey, I ain't complaining, just mentally tinkering! I bet all knife knuts do it!

Dan, you're right--I LOVE IT!!!! I predict it will shortly become my EDC too. I just have to transition a bit from FRN light and small to the new heft, balance and size.

Bob, I can't wait to attack those bagels!! Of course, they will present an immediate and otherwise unavoidable threat of being too hard to eat without cutting them in half to accept the low fat cream cheese!
Shall I just plop it on the table for all to use or try a low profile cut only when necessary? Hmmm...

It definitely ain't going in no POOL! That's old Mr. Endura's job (and his G-2 does quite well, for an old, abused EDC).

Anyhows, my next $$$ are going for proper knife care supplies and a Sharpmaker to keep my family happysharp.

And now I'm thinking about Carnies and Hobbits and such (oh my!).

I would suggest that you practice your bagel cutting technique in private, until you're smooth, then provide a public demonstration.

Then again, I may not be the most sheeple-friendly knifenut myself.

Thanks alot Mike, for the quick service and the great blade. I'd order all the rest of them, but I ain't earning a million or so bucks a speech like Bill Clinton.

Tomorrow's bagel cutting day.

Dare I introduce the health club crowd to the next level of bagel splitting?
