That's odd... there should be a Spyderco Spyder on the blade

No habit, blade stampings on Spydercos are not necessarily the same year after year. I have five Manix models. Three of them have the "spyder" stamped on the blade and two do not. My older Salt I is stamped Salt I. The newer ones have the "spyder" logo and are not stamped Salt I.
