I thought I was missing something. Thanks for the heads up, and I'm looking to spend 50-150. As a broke college student, I don't have 1000 dollars to spend on a piece of metal that will be in my pocket 65% of the time
As of now, I have a Kershaw blur in s30v which I carry most often. I own an Ontario rat 1 which is my beater knife. I have a spyderco resilience in 8cr13mov for food prep. Lastly I have a Kershaw cryo in 8cr13mov which I carry as a secondary edc aka the knife I take out in public.
I have no issues with any of the steels, but I guess I'm looking for something that can be my go to edc. The blur is great, but sometimes I feel the recurve isn't the right choice for some applications.
What I'm Looking For
Blade Shape: drop point, sheepsfoot, tanto. Anything besides recurve and wharncliffe.
Handle Materials: open to anything. Except for plastic. Frn, thermoplastic, zytel etc.
Blade Steel: open to suggestions
Opening Method: open. But with thumbstuds, I'd prefer the design of the Kershaw blurs angled studs. But I like various other methods.
Locking mechanism: triad lock, compression lock, axis lock, lockback. I'd rather not have another linerlock or framelock.
So if you can suggest the best options in each of the above categories, I'd be able to narrow down my choices and find something I like. Thanks
